When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
Psalm 8:3-4
Amazing picture!
Earth joins with Heaven declaring your glory, proclaiming the works of your hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord let the earth here his voice. (And see his works)
That is a good picture! I’m amazed at several things. First, thank you for posting the info on it. Second, I can’t believe how many settings digitials have. f/7.1??????? I’ve never heard of that. Thirdly, I’m surprised at how much detail shows up on 800 iso speed. Good choice!

You shot the moon, I shot black beans. They’re both round so I thought pertinent. hehehhehe
50mm lense f/13 @ 1/30th using a tripod, 200 ISO Kodak 35mm.
J.J. — I’m guessing the actual camera setting was f/7. When I got the picture settings from Picasa it was listed at 7.1.
You can tell your black bean pic was taken with the 50mm–it is such a clear and crisp pic. What 50mm is it? Brand? I know there are several versions. I have the Canon 50mm f/1.4 which is an amazing lens.
Oh–this camera does pretty well at 800 ISO. It is one of the improvements Canon made in this camera. You can still see noise at a 100% crop, but it is still a good pic. Almost anything below 800 is very clear with little to no noise.
It’s from the Minolta Maxxum series. I think that one is lacking, I think this one is better:

I don’t know what noise is except for the fact that I look at a lot of pictures I take and think, it could be better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Noise is the graininess found at the higher ISO levels. It can be a significant problem in digital cameras–especially lower-quality cameras.
Gotcha. My problem has been underexposing too much with film. There’s a fine balance between shutter speed, ISO and F stop. hehehehehe
